The 80s fantasy adventure of the 1980s never died. But now you’re all grown up and the cartoons are too.
For lovers of Saturday morning cereal. And warriors. And boob jokes.
Saturday Morning Cereal Warriors is an adult cartoon homage to the fantasy cartoons the audience grew up watching in the 1980s. It is a world of epic castles, fire breathing dragons and muscle bound barbarians. But in this world the fantasy warriors are more interested in getting laid, settling personal feuds and working out their psycho-sexual hangups. Saving the world is the last thing on anyone’s mind.
The World
The world of Saturday Morning Cereal Warriors is a generic fantasy setting inspired by 80s cartoon tropes. The main hero and villain characters occupy two mighty castles from which they launch constant plots, attacks and petty pranks upon one another. The landscape is one of twisted rock formations, bottomless ravines, volcanoes and deadly swamps.
Bold heroes decide they’d rather stay home for pizza and evil villains skip out of paying their henchmen. There is always some grand world ending threat to ignore and the foremost thing on most characters’ minds is who is doing it with whom, who is getting revenge on whom, who’s got the nicest shoes or that great existential conundrum: How can I get everyone to just leave me the hell alone?
